Mentoring
Our mentors are the driving force of change for our youth. Many of our mentors stay with us for years, not only because they love witnessing the growth of our youth year after year but they know their influence makes an impact. As our mentors continue volunteering, they often discover their own unique strengths and passions . For example, one mentor - who has been with us for three years while also attending college and starting a family - developed a passion for tutoring high school students. This aligned perfectly with a major need in our program, and together we launched a Zoom tutoring initiative three times a week. The boys who participate find it both helpful and encouraging. We are grateful for volunteers like this who bring creativity, dedication, and heart, helping us grow and adapt our programs in meaningful ways. This is just one of many stories that show how incredible our volunteer team truly is!
